Update (July 18th 2011)

Usually I would have done an update by now. In fact, I was planning on writing one a couple days ago, but never got the chance to. Now, having just woken up, I guess I decided it would be the best time to write an update for you guys.

Well, by far the biggest news this week has been that the YouTube channel for The IRAT Gamer (at http://www.youtube.com/iratgamer) has been suspended. If you watched my announcement video here, you will probably know most of what I know.

Basically, the notorious Cry Wolf Productions (known only for recently taking down videos related to The Irate Gamer) attacked my channel, claiming copyright on several of my videos. These claims, coupled with the claims made much earlier by Scholastic, Inc. (or someone claiming to be) who took down my original Magic School Bus review, caused my account to reach its third strike, suspending it indefinitely.

Originally, people thought Cry Wolf Productions was Bores himself. After all, it's not like he hasn't flagged down videos parodying and/or criticising him before. Many thought he had gone back to his old ways, flagging down videos he didn't approve of, however it turns out that Bores is not responsible. It's instead a dedicated retarded fan (whose channel is right here: http://www.youtube.com/AnIrategamerFan), which means these copyright claims aren't even being made by the legal copyright owner, and therefore, whoever this is has absolutely no legal ground to be taking down these videos.

Regardless, I have filed counter-claims against the claims from Cry Wolf Productions, but seeing as they take a long-ass time to process (10-12 business days; about half a month), I have reuploaded most episodes of The IRAT Gamer onto this website where they shouldn't be able to take the videos down (seeing as there's no corrupt flagging system here). Unfortunately, a couple episodes weren't backed up for some reason (specifically, the Doom episode, and possibly the Magic School Bus remake), so they'll only return if my channel comes back.

Well, the flagging situation has certainly been a strange, and somewhat frustrating experience. Let's move on to more pleasant subjects.

Double Jump, the best video game reviews I've ever made, returns July 31st (make another countdown Daveman??) with an all new (and improved) season! Not going to reveal a whole lot here, plus there's not a whole lot to mention anyway, except for, definitely look forwards to that.

Victory at Gamer Paradise's slowing down is in action. I few of the sub-series (specifically the Minecraft ones like White+Nerdy) have been sold to Th3Laz1B01. They've also been given an Affiliate Show on this site, and their YouTube channel is here. This has been done mainly because I felt Victory at Gamer Paradise was getting a little too overblown, and Minecraft videos really aren't the direction I want to take Noroji Entertainment in.

Despite all the difficulties with copyright claims, episode 13 of The IRAT Gamer is due for release on Tuesday. Unfortunately, it will have to be a website exclusive, seeing as my channel is down, and I don't want to move it to my main channel in fear of that one getting taken down too. So, I will probably end up just posting a trailer to it on my channel when it's released. But regardless, look forwards to that too.

Other than that, there are two new series in the works, both in planning stages. One is scheduled for release around early to mid-August, the other more like around September/October. Again, look forwards to those; they're going to be... insanely great.
