COD 6 review.
COD 6 or modern warfare 2 for anyone that thinks it is cool to correct people over this. (Seriously fucking stop!) Activision has been busy behind closed doors to create this and let's see whether it should have stayed behind closed doors. (Note the shit detector is still broken after Fallout New Vegas fucked it up earlier.)
The game starts off with you in Afghanistan. You are a PFC in a ranger firebase in the middle of a desert. You are training local Afghan forces to use their weapons properly by showing off your "Ranger training"�. (This is all bullshit and will be criticised later.) You then make your way over to the pit with a dopy corporal to show to some prick general. The fastest way to do this is with the M9 and the H&K USP.
You then join an attack force sent to re-claim a bridge blown up by local insurgents. This is fairly basic; all you do is range your tube grenade launcher and watch an airstrike happen. You then get in your vehicles and patrol through some streets when you get to building that has some men in it. Even in ROE (rules of engagement) I can fucking see that they are wearing bullet-proof jackets. It is proven that they are scouts as you instantly come under piss poor sniper fire and walk straight into an ambush. You then speed off (in an apparently indestructible HUMVEE, they are not bullet-proof and would not take that amount of fire and survive.) You eventually get toppled by an RPG and have to fight your way back to the school. Once you are inside the school you just need an RPD and you can waste everything with it. You eventually get pulled off by the prick general for something and that is the end of the first level.
The whole campaign is centred on the rangers and TF 141 (which is also bullshit.). America is plunged into war after you get shot in an undercover role after wasting everybody in a Moscow airport. Your taskforce is used as a bitch for the prick general to do everything from waste an entire city in Brazil to freeing your old commander. (this is the prisoner for those who have not yet played COD 6) and the rangers are focused on trying to defend whatever is left of America after being raped by just about every fucking bomber ever made in Russia.
The storyline in this campaign is actually quite good and relatively easy to follow. This is definitely an upside to this game as it is actually very rare to find a storyline that has not been totally screwed with by the chain of events.
There are however many points of the campaign that scream out "BULLSHIT"� even without the shit-detector. Firstly, Australians are in charge of training local law enforcement personnel, not US rangers.
Secondly, the prick general keeps his men in Afghanistan while America is being raped from all sides. Are the American military commanders really that fucked up?
Where you are to start with is in different levels also a big over-sight. With the rangers you are in the north-eastern tip one second, and down in DC the next. You could not move that freely if you are being invaded.
This is also apparent with the taskforce. Why do you not continue the attack on the Russians when you have already over-run some of the most defended places in Russia on the eastern coast?
You are not actually fighting a war where you can get killed from anywhere, it is a little fight where your only risk is some dickhead computer character that is about to toss a frag. Like all computer characters do
Now that you have finished a very small and easy campaign (that is if you play it in the first place) you can now access black ops. NO smartarse, I know you do not get COD 7 with 6, black ops on 6. This is where you get to test your skills against firstly shit easy enemies up to a pair of levels with nothing but juggernaughts on it. This is a good feature and keeps players happy with what they are getting for their money.
And of course, there is an online part of COD 6. This is just like previous COD's where you are on either the American or "enemy"� side. There are quite a few improvements on the online play since the last one. They are:
The choice of weapons that you get to choose from.
The killstreaks and choice of available killstreaks.
Perks and choice of perks.
Maps to pick from.
Types of matches (even if some are crap).
This online game is far from perfect and here are points that you will notice and rage about:
The amount of tube grenade launchers in the online games.
The zombie games on there are pretty pathetic
There are two types of players that play it now:
The really shit ones that lose you games and then claim to be Jesus fucking Christ at the game.
Or those that believe COD is a religion.
The amount of hackers that are on there is un-fucking-believable.
If you manage to get any better than a 2:1 kill/death ratio, you are bound to be called a hacker. To those out there that have done this to me in the past, fuck you. I do not hack. I do not even know how to hack. Just because I manage to kill you does not mean I spend my life looking up these hacks. You being shit has absolutely FUCK ALL to do with me. Just get better or FUCK OFF.
Things we like:
The story line.
Online play is actually better than Black Ops.
The amount of games you actually get for your money.
The choice of weapons in all sections.
The improved online features.
Things we do not like:
The really short campaign.
The holes in the thinking of COD 6.
The amount of montages of sniping and all that crap. I am glad you think you are good, cause I think it is not worth the time it takes to watch.
Hackers and shitheads.
So is 6 the best of just another game series that has one too many sequels and has fucked themselves

This is much better than Black Ops in many ways. Where this game loses its marks is:
The campaign is too easy in Veteran and Ghost is just Gaz with a mask.
The choice of actual playable games on online is disappointing to say the least.
Even though this is not their fault, the types of players online now that Black Ops now has gotten most of the players.
The amount of sniping montages on YouTube. I am glad they think that they are worth a shit, cause I do not. Available on PS3, XBOX 360, Wii or PC.
